ANWG 2009 Call for Instructors
Spokane Handweavers’ Guild is accepting proposals for “Weaving Waves of Color” ANWG Conference and post-conference workshops May 28-31, June 1-3, 2009 at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. For proposal guidelines e-mail Education Chair: Victoria Leuba, 704 W. Cleveland Ave, Spokane, WA 99205. Deadline: July 1, 2008.
Good News for HWSDA Guilds!
A total of $3,500.00 available to HWSDA member guilds and HWSDA members as grant money to use to sponsor a workshop. Here is what you have to do:
- Send a proposal outlining your workshop plans including instructor and dates to: Judith Klassen, 6825 Locke Court SW, Calgary, AB T3E 6H8 or email Judy Klassen. Your proposal should include a brief description of the workshop, the instructor's name and the number of participants. Be sure to include a contact name for your guild, phone number or e-mail and a mailing address.
- The proposal must be received by February 28, 2008 and cheques will be issued before the HWSDA year end of March 31, 2008.
- The workshop can happen anytime after June 15, 2007, but only proposals with confirmed workshops will be considered.
- Please note if the workshop is open to people outside of your guild and plan to advertise that in the newsletter and on the webpage.
- In return, we ask that at the completion of the workshop, you write up a short summary for inclusion in the newsletter/webpage. Pictures are welcome.
- The $3,500 will be divided equally among all accepted proposals.
